LOVEY

I remember you as my little girl

Giving back then, still giving to the world

Through all of our struggles, I watched you rise

With that passionate Scorpio look in your eyes

Thirty-eight today, what a beautiful heart

God gave you the biggest right from the start

You always make me smile, you make me laugh loud

Lovey, my daughter, I'm so deeply proud

You make us feel beautiful, doing our makeup right

Always bringing the comfort, always bringing the light

Your heart shines brighter than the glitter you wear

Whenever I need you, you're already there

You take care of everyone, pouring out your soul

Today let us spoil you, let us make you whole

You deserve the sparkle you leave in your wake

Take all the love, Lovey, for your own sake

You were there for your brother, your sisters too

Giving when you didn't have much, that's just you

You helped when you didn't have to, pushed through the unknown

And you never, ever made your mama feel alone

You could have been selfish, but you chose to be kind

The most loyal spirit that anyone could find

You make us feel beautiful, doing our makeup right

Always bringing the comfort, always bringing the light

Your heart shines brighter than the glitter you wear

Whenever I need you, you're already there

You take care of everyone, pouring out your soul

Today let us spoil you, let us make you whole

You deserve the sparkle you leave in your wake

Take all the love, Lovey, for your own sake

Thank you for the grandbabies, my absolute joys

Rhye'onna my Jigga Booty, and Andrew my Pops, my boy

Jeremiah twenty-nine eleven says He has a plan

To prosper and give you hope, holding your hand

Jesus loves you, and baby girl, so do I

I'll treasure this mother-daughter bond till the end of time

So on this special day, just let yourself rest

Let yourself be celebrated, you deserve the best

Keep spreading that magic wherever you go

Keep being you, let your beautiful spirit show

No matter how old, you're my baby girl still

I love you beyond words, and I always will

You make us feel beautiful, doing our makeup right

Always bringing the comfort, always bringing the light

Your heart shines brighter than the glitter you wear

Whenever I need you, you're already there

You take care of everyone, pouring out your soul

Today let us spoil you, let us make you whole

You deserve the sparkle you leave in your wake

Happy birthday, Lovey, take the love that you make
