Cynthia

Cynthia, I see the quiet ways you care

A patient mother, a selfless kind of prayer

In two-thousand-eighteen, you opened up your home

Taking in two, so they wouldn't be alone

You built a house where healing could begin

And let the light of heaven settle in

Always remember you are doing your best

When the days are hard and you are put to the test

Even when you feel like you are failing, it's not true

Cynthia, you are always, always loved, we promise you

Thank you for being there for us, time and time again

A loving mother, a shelter in the wind

Through twenty-twenty and twenty-twenty-one

You poured out your heart until the day was done

By twenty-twenty-three, you proudly adopted four

And twenty-twenty-five showed you still had love in store

Taking them to church, sitting in the pew

Showing them the grace that overflows from you

Always remember you are doing your best

When the days are hard and you are put to the test

Even when you feel like you are failing, it's not true

Cynthia, you are always, always loved, we promise you

Thank you for being there for us, time and time again

A loving mother, a shelter in the wind

You get to see the milestones, watch them growing up

Hearing all their giggles as you overflow their cup

Seeing every smile, wiping tears from their face

Making sure they always feel loved in your embrace

You give your life so they can find their wings

You are the hands of God in the joy you bring

So always remember you are doing your best

When the days are hard and you are put to the test

Even when you feel like you are failing, it's not true

Cynthia, you are always, always loved, we promise you

Thank you for being there for us, time and time again

A loving mother, a shelter in the wind

Thank you for being there for us

Thank you for being there for us
