Cynthia

I didn't know you from your very first breath

But love isn't bound by the steps that we tread

You walked in my life like a break in the clouds

And Cynthia, I am so grateful right now

I didn't give you your name or your start

But I gave you a permanent place in my heart

You are the daughter my spirit would choose

So beautiful, wrapped in a light that is true

I just want to say it, I want you to know

I love you, Cynthia, wherever you go

Forever my family, forever my own

There is a radiance caught in your eyes

A beautiful soul that I recognize

You carry a grace that is so plain to see

And I am so proud that you're family to me

Every tomorrow and all through today

I will be standing right here by your way

You are the daughter my spirit would choose

So beautiful, wrapped in a light that is true

I just want to say it, I want you to know

I love you, Cynthia, wherever you go

Forever my family, forever my own

Blood doesn't write every story of love

Sometimes a family is built out of trust

You are my daughter in all that is real

This is the depth of the love that I feel

Nothing could change what you mean to my life

You are a blessing, a beautiful light

You are the daughter my spirit would choose

So beautiful, wrapped in a light that is true

I just want to say it, I want you to know

I love you, Cynthia, wherever you go

Forever my family, forever my own

I love you, Cynthia, you're never alone
