Ebony

I fold my hands and bow my head

For every word of grace you've said

You are my daughter, my heart's reward

A perfect blessing from the Lord

I look at you and clearly see

The love that He poured out on me

Oh, Ebony, I thank the Lord for you

For the loving, caring things you do

You show His goodness every day

In the gentle words you always say

A tender soul, so kind and free

God gave a miracle to me

You bring such laughter to my days

A joyful noise, a song of praise

With endless patience in your heart

You've been a treasure from the start

You always take the time to care

And show that heaven's peace is there

Oh, Ebony, I thank the Lord for you

For the loving, caring things you do

You show His goodness every day

In the gentle words you always say

A tender soul, so kind and free

God gave a miracle to me

May angels guide your every step

And hold you close when you need rest

Because you love with all your might

May God surround you with His light

I lift my voice up to the sky

So grateful for the daughter by my side

Oh, Ebony, I thank the Lord for you

For the loving, caring things you do

You show His goodness every day

In the gentle words you always say

A tender soul, so kind and free

God gave a miracle to me

My precious daughter, Ebony
