Eric and lauren

A Halloween baby, two thousand and one

My handsome, sarcastic, and rule-following son

You conquer your goals, my United States Marine

With the biggest, most playful smile I've ever seen

Always checking on me with your sensitive heart

Asking when it's okay for the hand-holding to start

You are my heart, you are my soul

The day you were born, you made my life whole

You changed my whole world as the years carry on

I'm grateful to God that you call me Mom

I will love you forever, as long as I breathe

My beautiful babies, thank you for choosing me

Memorial Day, two thousand and four

My happy-go-lucky girl, with a giggle I adore

You're a daddy's girl, but you take care of me

Though you joke Eric's the golden child of the family

At one year old, you wouldn't let me teach you to swim

Drank half the pool water on a stubborn whim

You are my heart, you are my soul

The day you were born, you made my life whole

You changed my whole world as the years carry on

I'm grateful to God that you call me Mom

I will love you forever, as long as I breathe

My beautiful babies, thank you for choosing me

I love how you trust me and tell me it all

You're both so compassionate whenever I call

Lauren, I see how you always try your best

And Eric, I've watched you pass every hard test

These are the moments I hold in my mind

The most precious blessings that I'll ever find

You are my heart, you are my soul

The day you were born, you made my life whole

You changed my whole world as the years carry on

I'm grateful to God that you call me Mom

I will love you forever, as long as I breathe

My Eric and Lauren, thank you for choosing me
