Dystani

We started out at Grandy's, just sharing a smile

I didn't know the Lord was working all the while

We walked as friends for a decade, side by side

Before I saw the woman who would be my bride

Ten years of waiting for the season to turn

To see the fire of a lifelong love begin to burn

Oh, Dystani, you're a blessing from above

A Proverbs 31 woman, clothed in holy love

You're my protector, my shelter in the rain

You speak a word of courage and wash away the pain

I thank the Lord for the wife He gave to me

My supportive rock for all eternity

Two thousand eleven, we stood and said "I do"

I pledged my heart to Heaven, and gave my life to you

We built our home on faith, we built our home on prayer

And everywhere I look, I see your spirit there

Two thousand nineteen, we heard the Savior's call

Now we serve Him full-time, giving Him our all

Oh, Dystani, you're a blessing from above

A Proverbs 31 woman, clothed in holy love

You're my protector, my shelter in the rain

You speak a word of courage and wash away the pain

I thank the Lord for the wife He gave to me

My supportive rock for all eternity

When I am weary, you lift my heavy hands

You stand beside me through whatever God commands

Your tender heart is a testament of grace

I see the love of Jesus shining in your face

You push me to be better, you hold me when I'm weak

You are the answered prayer my soul will always seek

Oh, Dystani, you're a blessing from above

A Proverbs 31 woman, clothed in holy love

You're my protector, my shelter in the rain

You speak a word of courage and wash away the pain

I thank the Lord for the wife He gave to me

My supportive rock for all eternity

Yes, Dystani, you're my Proverbs 31

Serving God together until the race is run
