Looking for comfort, begging for relief

Heartbreaks and trauma, a mind in the dark

Losing my mother, it shattered my heart

I stood on the edge, I was ready to fall

Chained to addiction, just losing it all

But deep in the sorrow, when hope was all gone

A quiet grace held me and carried me on

Now I am living, breathing proof

On the eleventh of May, I walked through the doors

Of a church where I found what my spirit searched for

I laid down my burdens, the pain of the past

And found a forgiveness I knew would hold fast

Two weeks went by, it was May twenty-five

I went down in the water and came up alive

Washed of the sorrow, the guilt, and the blame

I want my redemption to point you to truth

He transforms the broken, He faithfully saves

He pulls us right out of the darkest of graves
