Carrissa

I remember the years of watching you grow

You had a fire and a steady, sweet glow

Always so caring, right from the start

Carrying grace in the palm of your heart

Now I look at the woman standing right here

Thinking so deeply and seeing so clear

Carrissa, you've built such a wonderful life

Stepping right up to whatever arrives

'Cause you are strong, you are beautiful inside and out

You're the kind of soul this world needs, without a doubt

With an understanding heart, you keep singing your song

And no matter what comes along

Carrissa, you got this, you're right where you belong

Now I sit back and I watch with your kids

Seeing the magic in all that you give

Those sweet little moments of laughter and play

You guide them so gently through every new day

You're raising them up with the same steady hand

Teaching them how to be strong and to stand

It fills up my spirit and brings me such pride

To see all the love that you carry inside

'Cause you are strong, you are beautiful inside and out

You're the kind of soul this world needs, without a doubt

With an understanding heart, you keep singing your song

And no matter what comes along

Carrissa, you got this, you're right where you belong

When the road gets heavy and the shadows fall

I know you have the power to stand through it all

You never back down when the going gets tough

Your beautiful spirit is more than enough

'Cause you are strong, you are beautiful inside and out

You're the kind of soul this world needs, without a doubt

With an understanding heart, you keep singing your song

And no matter what comes along

Yeah, no matter what comes along

Carrissa, you got this, you're right where you belong
