Walking through those church doors, wearing your belief

You told me I'm the one that you were gonna marry

A promise that your faithful heart was always gonna carry

Sixty-four years have come and gone since then

The road was not always easy, the shadows sometimes fell

When we lost our precious Dawn, our hearts were overwhelmed

But early in our calling, God's grace became our stay

He drew us even closer as we bowed our heads to pray

Through the tears and the trials, Christ sustained our home

Reminding us we never had to walk this world alone

Now our family tree is growing in the light of Jesus' grace

With six precious grandchildren to brighten up the place

Noah, Brittany, Jessica, Malachi, Micah, and Taylen too

And four great-grandbabies who get to look up to you

We're still serving our Savior, our faith is just as strong

Singing out the verses of our lifelong gospel song
