Kathryn

Thirty-four years with my favorite friend

A bond that I know is gonna hold till the end

From the dew on those early soccer mornings back then

To the football mornings we're sharing again

Through all the late nights when the house went to sleep

We shared all the talks and the laughter we keep

Kathryn, you’re brave and you’re fiercely kind

With a protective heart and a beautiful mind

You never tried to change me, you just let me be

Accepting and loving the person you see

When I was just looking for a steady hand

You were the sister, the someone I needed

I love watching your beautiful family grow

It's one of the greatest joys that I know

Bringing Lance to our lives was a blessing so true

And I see all the light shining right out of you

Allyson Marie and Zachariah Lee

Are so lucky to have you, just like me

Kathryn, you’re brave and you’re fiercely kind

With a protective heart and a beautiful mind

You never tried to change me, you just let me be

Accepting and loving the person you see

When I was just looking for a steady hand

You were the sister, the someone I needed

You're wise and you're funny, through the highs and the lows

You’re the one I can talk to, the one who just knows

For every little thing right from the start

I love you, sis, with all of my heart

Kathryn, you’re brave and you’re fiercely kind

With a protective heart and a beautiful mind

You never tried to change me, you just let me be

Accepting and loving the person you see

When I was just looking for a steady hand

You were the sister, the someone I needed

Yeah, for thirty-four years, the someone I needed
