Trevor

My firstborn boy, the one who made me a mom

With those beautiful long eyelashes, so sweet and calm

I still see you little, just starting to roam

With Morris the cat following you through the home

You had your special blanket dragging on the floor

Holding tight to Barney as you walked through the door

Oh, Trevor, you’re handsome, you’re thoughtful and kind

A more dedicated heart would be impossible to find

You’re determined and strong, and you still love your mom

You’re the shelter in the storm, you’re the steady and the calm

No matter how tall you grow or the miles you track

I will always love you to the moon and back

We’d sit around the table with the board games out

I would let you win just to hear you cheer and shout

Then we’d turn up the music and spin across the wood

Dancing with your little brother, man, life was good

Those memories are painted in the halls of this place

And I see that same joy when I look in your face

Oh, Trevor, you’re handsome, you’re thoughtful and kind

A more dedicated heart would be impossible to find

You’re determined and strong, and you still love your mom

You’re the shelter in the storm, you’re the steady and the calm

No matter how tall you grow or the miles you track

I will always love you to the moon and back

You’re fiercely protective of the people you love

When the world gets heavy, you’re the one they think of

Always thinking of others, with a caring soul

Watching you grow into a man has made me whole

Oh, Trevor, you’re handsome, you’re thoughtful and kind

A more dedicated heart would be impossible to find

You’re determined and strong, and you still love your mom

You’re the shelter in the storm, you’re the steady and the calm

No matter how tall you grow or the miles you track

I will always love you to the moon and back
