Elias

Thirteen years ago, the whole world stood still

A beautiful answer to His holy will

I held you so close and I whispered a prayer

Thanking God for the grandson He placed in my care

Watching you grow is the joy of my days

I lift up my hands and give Heaven the praise

Oh, Elias, with your caring heart

You were wonderfully made right from the start

When the road gets long and the mountains are tall

Remember the Savior who watches it all

You are smart, you are kind, and His promise is true

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

I watch how you grow in wisdom and grace

A brilliant young mind with a light on your face

You look out for others, you're tender and good

Stepping in faith like I prayed that you would

Keep seeking the Lord as you walk through this life

He will be your comfort in joy and in strife

Oh, Elias, with your caring heart

You were wonderfully made right from the start

When the road gets long and the mountains are tall

Remember the Savior who watches it all

You are smart, you are kind, and His promise is true

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

Lord, shine Your light on the path that he takes

Give him Your peace in the choices he makes

May he know he is loved, may his spirit stand firm

Trusting Your word through every new turn

Oh, Elias, with your caring heart

You were wonderfully made right from the start

When the road gets long and the mountains are tall

Remember the Savior who catches your fall

You are smart, you are kind, and His promise is true

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you

Yes, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you
