Tanylah

I look at you and see a prayer come true

A beautiful blessing in all that you do

My sweet granddaughter, walking in grace

Bringing the sunshine right into this place

God gave me a gift when He brought you to me

A wonderful spirit for the whole world to see

Oh, Tanylah, you're a shining star

So uniquely special, exactly as you are

With a brilliant mind and a heart so bright

I love you, Tanylah, you're my guiding light

Yes, I love you, Tanylah, you are doing just fine

I thank the Lord above that your hand is in mine

When we sit together and the laughter starts to roll

That joyful sound is medicine straight to my soul

We share those moments, just smiling so wide

I look at you, girl, and I'm bursting with pride

I marvel at your wisdom, so sharp and so keen

You have the smartest mind that I've ever seen

Oh, Tanylah, you're a shining star

So uniquely special, exactly as you are

With a brilliant mind and a heart so bright

I love you, Tanylah, you're my guiding light

Yes, I love you, Tanylah, you are doing just fine

I thank the Lord above that your hand is in mine

Hold your head high, let your brilliance shine through

There is nobody else in this world quite like you

You are cherished, you are chosen, you are wonderfully made

Keep walking in joy, don't you let your light fade

Always remember when the world feels too cold

You are more precious than silver or gold

Oh, Tanylah, you're a shining star

So uniquely special, exactly as you are

With a brilliant mind and a heart so bright

I love you, Tanylah, you're my guiding light

Yes, I love you, Tanylah, now and all through the years

You put a smile on my face and you dry up my tears

I love you, Tanylah!
