Asher

The day you came into this world, I counted it as grace

A perfect little blessing with a smile upon your face

You’re caring and you’re loving, with a funny, tender soul

A mischievous young spirit who makes my life feel whole

Oh, Asher, you’re my grandson, and you’ve got my whole heart

I’ve cherished every second right from the very start

I just want to tell you, as I watch you learn and grow

I love you, Asher, more than you will ever know

We sit and read our storybooks and turn another page

I love to watch the wonder of a boy at such an age

Then I'm counting up to ten, while you go and try to hide

Before we race those Hot Wheels, or we take the fun outside

Oh, Asher, you’re my grandson, and you’ve got my whole heart

I’ve cherished every second right from the very start

I just want to tell you, as I watch you learn and grow

I love you, Asher, more than you will ever know

We’ll go running through the park beneath the open sky

Then we’re heading to the bins to see what catches your eye

You’re so kind to everyone, in everything you do

Every single memory is a treasure made with you

Oh, Asher, you’re my grandson, and you’ve got my whole heart

I’ve cherished every second right from the very start

I just want to tell you, as I watch you learn and grow

I love you, Asher, more than you will ever know
