Chris

Thirty years ago, we started this fire

Walking together, lifting each other higher

I look at you now, and I still see the man

Who took my whole heart when he reached for my hand

Time has a way of just slipping right past

But we built a life that we knew would last

Oh, Chris, you’re the anchor, my safe place to land

The most loyal heart and a hardworking man

You support every dream, you pull us both through

I am so lucky to share life with you

From the moment we met to the end of the line

I’ll love you forever, I’m so glad you’re mine

I see the long hours in the things that you do

You carry our world, and you make it look new

You never complain when the heavy winds blow

You just hold me close so I never let go

A pillar of strength when the water gets rough

With you by my side, I always have enough

Oh, Chris, you’re the anchor, my safe place to land

The most loyal heart and a hardworking man

You support every dream, you pull us both through

I am so lucky to share life with you

From the moment we met to the end of the line

I’ll love you forever, I’m so glad you’re mine

Three decades of memories, of laughter and tears

We’ve weathered the seasons, we’ve conquered the years

You stand in my corner, my faithful best friend

And I will be standing in yours till the end

Oh, Chris, you’re the anchor, my safe place to land

The most loyal heart and a hardworking man

You support every dream, you pull us both through

I am so lucky to share life with you

From thirty years back to the end of the line

I’ll love you forever, I’m so glad you’re mine
