Korky

Growing up, you were my steady shield

A patient, loving heart that was so real

You were protective, caring, and so kind

Always leaving every fear of mine behind

Korky, you had my back when we were young

With a funny joke always on your tongue

You had my back from the very start

As we grew older, we walked side by side

Now you're watching over me from up above

Standing with Jesus in His holy light

You were gone too soon, but my love won't cease

Rest in His arms, brother, rest in peace

I still smile at the beautiful memories we made

At Michael's for your sixtieth, celebrating your day

Or Christmas twenty-twenty-five, the joy that filled the room

When I won that wig-snatching game against you

You were so funny, a light to be around

Now your laughter is a heavenly sound

You had my back from the very start

As we grew older, we walked side by side

Now you're watching over me from up above

Standing with Jesus in His holy light

You were gone too soon, but my love won't cease

Rest in His arms, brother, rest in peace

Thank you for the steps we took together

Thank you for a bond that lasts forever

You will always remain right here in my heart

Even though for a little while we have to part

You're safe in the arms of the Savior's grace

Until I see you again, face to face

You had my back from the very start

As we grew older, we walked side by side

Now you're watching over me from up above

Standing with Jesus in His holy light

You were gone too soon, but my love won't cease

Rest in His arms, Korky, rest in peace
