Quayla

We were hiking through the woods, just you and me

Finding peace beneath the canopy of trees

We’ve climbed up mountains, side by side

And cooked together in the evening light

I watched you grow, so resilient and strong

A beautiful soul where His spirit belongs

Oh, Quayla, keep climbing to the stars

I am elated by the woman you are

You are perfect in my eyes, tender and true

I couldn't ask for a grander child than you

With a spirit so caring, where His grace has trod

Walking in love, and humble to God

I still remember the tears on my face

When you graduated, stepping into grace

That day made me happier than words could say

Watching my brilliant girl find her way

You are enlightened, powerful, and bright

Becoming who you promised in the light

Oh, Quayla, keep climbing to the stars

I am elated by the woman you are

You are perfect in my eyes, tender and true

I couldn't ask for a grander child than you

With a spirit so caring, where His grace has trod

Walking in love, and humble to God

Become what you always told me you would be

A resilient heart for the whole world to see

You are devoted, standing on His truth

I thank the Lord for the blessing of you

So, Quayla, keep climbing to the stars

I am elated by the woman you are

You are perfect in my eyes, tender and true

I couldn't ask for a grander child than you

With a spirit so caring, where His grace has trod

Walking in love, and humble to God
