Glenn

I knew it the moment I looked in your eyes

A kind, loving spirit, so gentle and wise

Oh Glenn, you were beautiful, outside and in

That’s exactly the place where our story begins

I gave you my heart before the sun even set

The sweetest connection I’ll never forget

I loved you from day one, right from the start

And I’ll love you to the last day that beats in this heart

Though heaven reached down from the skies up above

I’ll be waiting to meet you again, oh my love

Yeah, I’ll love you to the last day, until we meet again

I sit in the quiet and look at the frame

I trace out the glass as I whisper your name

It’s a picture of us, our hands holding tight

But now you’ve got wings made of heavenly light

I can see them so clearly, they shine in my mind

The mark of an angel you left right behind

I loved you from day one, right from the start

And I’ll love you to the last day that beats in this heart

Though heaven reached down from the skies up above

I’ll be waiting to meet you again, oh my love

Yeah, I’ll love you to the last day, until we meet again

You were my partner, my shelter, my friend

And this kind of devotion won't fade at the end

I’ll keep walking forward, though we are apart

With your beautiful soul living on in my heart

I loved you from day one, right from the start

And I’ll love you to the last day that beats in this heart

Though heaven reached down from the skies up above

I’ll be waiting to meet you again, oh my love

With your heavenly wings and your hand holding mine

I will love you, my Glenn, till the end of all time
