Darrin

We met through the family, who knew what it would start?

One kiss was all it took for you to capture my heart.

We drove an hour down to Springfield, Missouri

To share a little ice cream, with no need to hurry.

You held me in your arms, so tender and so true

And I knew my happily ever after was with you.

Oh, Darrin, your hands tell a story of hard work and love

Guided by an unshakable faith in God up above.

For thirty-five years, you've been our provider and guide

With amazing, unconditional love by my side.

I melt when you say there could never be a more beautiful you

Forever and always, we are the Perfect Two.

And I love you to the moon and back.

Two years into this romance, along came our first son

Then a daughter, then two more boys, and our family had begun.

We’ve shared so many laughs, building up this home

A handsome man of many talents, the kindest I've ever known.

Now the rooms are full of grandkids playing at our feet

Being Nana and Papa makes this wonderful life complete.

You’d give the shirt right off your back for anyone in need

Asking nothing in return for every selfless deed.

You’d lay your life down in a heartbeat for our family tree

You’ve always been my prince, and your princess I will be.

Yeah, I love you to the moon and back.
