I carried the weight of the years on my chest

A hard-working woman just doing her best

The wounds from my childhood, the tears in my past

I brought to the altar to heal them at last

I pardoned the people who caused me to bleed

And let go of anger to follow His lead

I dwell in the secret place of the Most High

A kindhearted spirit, a Christian so bold
