Jamie

We met inside those sanctuary doors

I saw your faith before I knew your name

I didn't know that Sunday morning greeting

Was exactly how my life was gonna change

You showed me what a gentle strength could be

And built a foundation meant to last

Now I look at the life we share together

And I wouldn't trade a second of the past

Jamie, you're my best friend and my heart

A thoughtful soul who keeps me safe from harm

Whenever I need someone to protect me

I find my shelter right here in your arms

I'm thankful for the grace that lights our way

And every single prayer that we both pray

We sit together reading through the Bible

Finding all the wisdom that we need

You're always so supportive of my journey

A steady rock, a quiet place to lean

When we lift our voices up in worship

Singing praises to the God we trust

I feel the Holy Spirit in our home

And I know that He is watching over us

Jamie, you're my best friend and my heart

A thoughtful soul who keeps me safe from harm

Whenever I need someone to protect me

I find my shelter right here in your arms

I'm thankful for the grace that lights our way

And every single prayer that we both pray

I never take this beautiful gift for granted

To have a husband walking by my side

Who looks to Heaven every single morning

And lets the love of Jesus be his guide

Through every joyful season and the tears

I know we'll keep on singing through the years

Cause Jamie, you're my best friend and my heart

A thoughtful soul who keeps me safe from harm

Whenever I need someone to protect me

I find my shelter right here in your arms

I'm thankful for the grace that lights our way

And every single prayer that we both pray

Yeah, you're my best friend and my heart always
