Maritza

I remember the park, just the wind and the sun

Pushing you on the swings when your life had begun

And whenever both of my girls are right here with me

My heart is as full as a heart could ever be

I look at the beautiful soul I discover

And thank you for choosing me to be your mother

Oh, Maritza, you're stronger than you even think

You are smarter and wiser right up to the brink

May God bless you always, may His favor fall

You are beautiful, patient, and kind through it all

I believe in you deeply, in the light that you see

Go on and be successful, you're a miracle to me

I've watched you cross stages through each graduation

You set your sights high with such fierce dedication

An overachiever in all that you do

But the most precious thing is the spirit in you

Helping the children who need extra care

You give them your love, you are answering prayers

Oh, Maritza, you're stronger than you even think

You are smarter and wiser right up to the brink

May God bless you always, may His favor fall

You are beautiful, patient, and kind through it all

I believe in you deeply, in the light that you see

Go on and be successful, you're a miracle to me

When the mountains look heavy and the valleys feel wide

Remember my love is right there by your side

You are smarter, you're stronger, you're wiser, it's true

There is nothing on earth that my daughter can't do

I lift up my hands and I pray for your peace

May the Lord bless your steps as your triumphs increase

Oh, Maritza, you're stronger than you even think

You are smarter and wiser right up to the brink

May God bless you always, may His favor fall

You are beautiful, patient, and kind through it all

I believe in you deeply, in the light that you see

Go on and be successful, you're a miracle to me

I love you forever, my beautiful daughter

Thank you for choosing me to be your mother
