Aunt Faye

You got a spirit that lights up the space

Bringing a warmth to our favorite place

Cousin by blood, but Aunt Faye to my soul

Keeping me safe and making me whole

You’re fiercely protective, a shield in the cold

With a kindhearted nature that never gets old

Awesome and sweet, yeah, you stand in the light

Making sure everyone's feeling alright

Oh, Aunt Faye, you’re the sweetest I know

Planting your joy everywhere that you go

From the songs that we sing to the memories we make

I’m holding you close, every step that I take

Through the highs and the lows, whatever the weather

I will always love you, Aunt Faye, forever

I think about cookouts, the plates piled high

Good food and laughter beneath the blue sky

We’d turn up the track and get in the groove

Dancing and singing, just watching you move

Then winding it down with a screen shining bright

Watching our movies deep into the night

Celebrating the family, the love that we share

Knowing that my cousin will always be there

Oh, Aunt Faye, you’re the sweetest I know

Planting your joy everywhere that you go

From the songs that we sing to the memories we make

I’m holding you close, every step that I take

Through the highs and the lows, whatever the weather

I will always love you, Aunt Faye, forever

Lovable, beautiful, inside and out

That is what your spirit is all about

You wrap us in comfort, you keep us secure

A love so authentic, a heart that is pure

Yeah, you protect us and care for us deep

These are the moments my spirit will keep

Oh, Aunt Faye, you’re the sweetest I know

Planting your joy everywhere that you go

From the songs that we sing to the memories we make

I’m holding you close, every step that I take

Through the highs and the lows, whatever the weather

I will always love you, Aunt Faye, forever

Yeah, I'll always love you, forever and ever
