Vivian

You gave me my first breath, you welcomed my life

You guided my steps through the calm and the strife

Vivian, my mother, so steady and true

My childhood was safe just because it was you

Now the seasons are shifting, the mountain is steep

But the Shepherd is watching the soul He will keep

Oh, lift up your eyes to the warmth of the sun

And praise Him for all that His mercy has done

You are happy to be here, alive for today

Let His tender embrace wash the worry away

Hold on, Vivian, let your spirit be strong

You will survive this, He carries you on

I know that the trial is heavy to bear

But you are supported by love and by prayer

You’ve always been resilient, a beacon of light

Now let heaven’s grace be your strength in the fight

Every beat of your heart is a gift from above

You are wrapped in His peace, you are held in His love

Oh, lift up your eyes to the warmth of the sun

And praise Him for all that His mercy has done

You are happy to be here, alive for today

Let His tender embrace wash the worry away

Hold on, Vivian, let your spirit be strong

You will survive this, He carries you on

When the shadows grow long and you're tired of the test

Lean back in His arms and just enter His rest

You gave life to me, now I'm praying for yours

We will stand by your side till you reach the safe shores

Keep hoping, keep trusting the Maker's design

The light of His presence continues to shine

Oh, lift up your eyes to the warmth of the sun

And praise Him for all that His mercy has done

You are happy to be here, alive for today

Let His tender embrace wash the worry away

Hold on, Vivian, let your spirit be strong

You will survive this, He carries you on

Yes, you will survive this, in Him you are strong
