Garrett David

Garrett David, my sweet silly goose

With a gentle spirit that you always use

To pull me in for a healing hug

With every snuggle, I feel your love

You're kind and loving, so deep and true

There is so much light inside of you

For He knows the plans He has for you

To prosper you and to see you through

To give you hope and a future bright

My God-fearing boy, walking in the light

No harm will find you, just understand

You are held so safely in His hand

My swamp boy running wild and free

Loving every animal that you see

Swimming in the springs when the sun is high

Finding waterfalls beneath the sky

You see the beauty in the simple things

And the quiet peace that the water brings

For He knows the plans He has for you

To prosper you and to see you through

To give you hope and a future bright

My God-fearing boy, walking in the light

No harm will find you, just understand

You are held so safely in His hand

When the day slows down and the room is still

You share your secret longings, and I pray you always will

Confiding in your mama, letting down your guard

I'll protect your deep heart when the world gets hard

So keep giving those hugs that make me whole

Keep that tender kindness in your beautiful soul

Garrett David, you're a gift to me

Exactly who you were made to be

For He knows the plans He has for you

To prosper you and to see you through

To give you hope and a future bright

My God-fearing boy, walking in the light

No harm will find you, just understand

You are held so safely in His hand
