Brooke

October twenty-eight, the year two thousand

The autumn air was crisp and bright and new

We didn't know the way our lives were turning

Until the moment we first looked at you

You came into our world and brought the sunshine

You changed us for good right from the start

A tiny little girl with so much promise

Who wrapped her little fingers round our heart

Oh, Brooke, you’ve got a heart of solid gold

Beautiful and smart, a story to unfold

You’re full of life, determined as can be

You changed us for good, made us who we're meant to be

You were meant to change the world, we always knew

Go higher and higher, the sky belongs to you

You always have a funny joke to tell us

But when it comes to dreams, you set your sights

A giving soul, a driven achiever

Chasing every goal into the light

There ain't a mountain that you cannot conquer

You never let a hurdle slow you down

With all that steady fire in your spirit

You're spreading so much goodness all around

Oh, Brooke, you’ve got a heart of solid gold

Beautiful and smart, a story to unfold

You’re full of life, determined as can be

You changed us for good, made us who we're meant to be

You were meant to change the world, we always knew

Go higher and higher, the sky belongs to you

From a little baby girl to the woman that you are

We are standing in the glow of a fast-ascending star

Keep reaching for the heavens, keep pushing through the ceiling

Words could never measure all the pride that we are feeling

Oh, Brooke, you’ve got a heart of solid gold

Beautiful and smart, a story to unfold

You’re full of life, determined as can be

You changed us for good, made us who we're meant to be

You were meant to change the world, we always knew

Go higher and higher, the sky belongs to you

Yeah, higher and higher, we'll always be with you
