Brandy

A mutual friend said we ought to meet

Summer of '17, a memory so sweet

We linked up at a party on the Fourth of July

Underneath a fireworks-painted sky

I didn't know it then as the colors flew

That my whole life was starting with you

Oh, Brandy, you're my forever and always

Through the quiet mornings and the longest days

You're funny and protective, thoughtful and sweet

With a loving heart that makes me complete

From casting out a line to being my wife

You're my fishing partner for life

December of '17, the winter was cold

But you asked a question so loving and bold

You proposed to me, asking to share in this ride

To take on the world with you by my side

March thirtieth, twenty-nineteen was the spring

When we said our vows and we traded the rings

Oh, Brandy, you're my forever and always

Through the quiet mornings and the longest days

You're funny and protective, thoughtful and sweet

With a loving heart that makes me complete

From casting out a line to being my wife

You're my fishing partner for life

You always encourage me when the waters get rough

When the world gets heavy, you're my anchor of love

I'm forever thankful for that Fourth of July

When the sparks in the dark caught the look in your eye

I love you, Brandy, more than words can say

I'll love you tomorrow like I love you today

Oh, Brandy, you're my forever and always

Through the quiet mornings and the longest days

You're funny and protective, thoughtful and sweet

With a loving heart that makes me complete

From casting out a line to being my wife

You're my fishing partner for life

Yeah, my forever and always, my beautiful wife

My fishing partner for life
