Charla

Charla, we’ve been friends for a good long while

And I’ve always found comfort in your steady smile

You’re a beautiful soul and a faithful friend

And I’ll be by your side right up to the end

I love you, Charla, I want you to know

I'm praying for peace everywhere that you go

Keep lifting your hands, keep praising the Lord

He will pour out the comfort you're asking Him for

Let His sweet grace wash over and quiet your mind

Leave the weight of the world and your worries behind

I know that the shadows can sometimes fall deep

And the road that you're walking feels rugged and steep

But you've been a rock and a blessing to me

Now I want your heart to be happy and free

I love you, Charla, I want you to know

I'm praying for peace everywhere that you go

Keep lifting your hands, keep praising the Lord

He will pour out the comfort you're asking Him for

Let His sweet grace wash over and quiet your mind

Leave the weight of the world and your worries behind

When the storm clouds gather and block out the sun

Just remember the work that the Savior has done

Keep singing His praises through the hard times and tears

He will carry your burdens and calm all your fears

'Cause I love you, Charla, I want you to know

I'm praying for peace everywhere that you go

Keep lifting your hands, keep praising the Lord

He will pour out the comfort you're asking Him for

Let His sweet grace wash over and quiet your mind

Leave the weight of the world and your worries behind
