Schwonda

Looking in the mirror, seeing the progress we made

Patient and strong, walking through the sun and the shade

Serving the community, trying to do what is right

But my greatest reward is coming home to my wife

Take it back to the summer of two thousand fifteen

That very first date was the start of the dream

I stay dependable, honorable, keeping my word

But the sweetest melody that I’ve ever heard

Is the love of my family, the bond that we trust

Through the seasons of time, baby, it’s always us

Yeah, it’s always us

October twenty-nineteen, we made the promise complete

Standing at the altar, swept you off of your feet

Now we look at the beautiful seeds that we’ve sown

Seven grandkids bringing so much light to our home

They know Schwonda’s a soul with a steady foundation

Pouring out love to the next generation

I stay dependable, honorable, keeping my word

But the sweetest melody that I’ve ever heard

Is the love of my family, the bond that we trust

Through the seasons of time, baby, it’s always us

Yeah, it’s always us

When December rolls in and the year starts to fade

We open the doors at the Wilson estates

The annual Christmas party, everybody is near

Filling up the whole house with that holiday cheer

It’s a beautiful testament to all that we share

A lifetime of service, a lifetime of care

I stay dependable, honorable, keeping my word

But the sweetest melody that I’ve ever heard

Is the love of my wife, and the family we trust

Through the seasons of time, baby, it’s always us

Yeah, it’s always us

Forever and ever, it's always us
