Mindi

We started out as childhood friends

Never knowing where the story ends

Now we’re traveling the world, side by side

With my loyal partner and my favorite guide

I thank God every morning when I wake

For the beautiful life that we get to make

Oh Mindi, you reached right into the fire

When I was sinking, you pulled me up higher

You dragged me from the hell of my addiction

With a loving heart and a fierce conviction

My beautiful wife, my lifelong friend

I’m holding your hand right to the end

Now there is peace inside the walls of our home

With our three dogs, we’re never alone

I see your kindness in the things that you do

A compassionate soul, so steady and true

When I was at my lowest, you didn't walk away

Your endless support is why I'm here today

Oh Mindi, you reached right into the fire

When I was sinking, you pulled me up higher

You dragged me from the hell of my addiction

With a loving heart and a fierce conviction

My beautiful wife, my lifelong friend

I’m holding your hand right to the end

I thank God every day for the grace that you gave

For the life that we built and the man that you saved

You were my anchor when I couldn't stand

Now I've got heaven right here in your hand

Oh Mindi, you reached right into the fire

When I was sinking, you pulled me up higher

You dragged me from the hell of my addiction

With a loving heart and a fierce conviction

My beautiful wife, my lifelong friend

I’m holding your hand right to the end
