Carietta; Care-ee-et-ta

I held you first as mother, but look how we have grown

Now you're the truest friend that I have ever known

I bring you all my worries, you listen without blame

I know you've got my back through the sunshine and the rain

Oh, Carietta, I am so proud of who you are

You faced the heavy mountains and reached up for the stars

You conquered every obstacle, you didn't run and hide

You kept your faith in God with Heaven by your side

Now you're standing like a winner, stepping in the light

Stronger on the other side of the fight

I watch you with your three kids, and know that they are blessed

To have a mom so resolute, who always gives her best

You fought for them with everything, you wouldn't take defeat

With your funny, big-heart spirit that nobody could beat

You walked right through the fire, but you never walked alone

With grace and determination, you built a loving home

Oh, Carietta, I am so proud of who you are

You faced the heavy mountains and reached up for the stars

You conquered every obstacle, you didn't run and hide

You kept your faith in God with Heaven by your side

Now you're standing like a winner, stepping in the light

Stronger on the other side of the fight

You are brave, you are strong, you are beautiful and true

I look at the woman you've become and marvel over you

Through every single valley, you let the Lord guide

And I am just so honored to be walking by your side

Oh, Carietta, I am so proud of who you are

You faced the heavy mountains and reached up for the stars

You conquered every obstacle, you didn't run and hide

You kept your faith in God with Heaven by your side

Now you're standing like a winner, stepping in the light

Stronger on the other side, yeah, you won the fight

My beautiful Carietta, shining so bright
