Ray

We were just college sweethearts, young and running free

But you had a quiet magic that washed right over me

So kind and so loving, steady from the start

You took my hand, walked right in, and claimed my heart

The years have all tumbled by, but the feeling stays the same

I still get a flutter every time I speak your name

Oh, Ray, my soulmate, my shelter in the night

Everyone who knows you loves the way you shine so bright

You’ve got a gentle soul that puts the world at ease

Bringing warmth and comfort like a summer breeze

You're loved by everybody for the light you bring

My husband and my soulmate, you are my everything

Look at the beautiful life that we have grown

Two beautiful daughters, out there on their own

They carry your reflection in the good things that they do

That gentle, loving grace that they always saw in you

You guided our family, so patient and so true

I count my lucky stars that I'm growing old with you

Oh, Ray, my soulmate, my shelter in the night

Everyone who knows you loves the way you shine so bright

You’ve got a gentle soul that puts the world at ease

Bringing warmth and comfort like a summer breeze

You're loved by everybody for the light you bring

My husband and my soulmate, you are my everything

It's not just me who sees it, it's everyone you meet

You leave a trail of kindness down every single street

A beacon in the shadows, a comfort when it's cold

The love you give to others is a treasure to behold

You lift up heavy spirits just by being who you are

My steady, shining compass, my favorite morning star

Oh, Ray, my soulmate, my shelter in the night

Everyone who knows you loves the way you shine so bright

You’ve got a gentle soul that puts the world at ease

Bringing warmth and comfort like a summer breeze

You're loved by everybody for the light you bring

My husband and my soulmate, you are my everything

Yes, you are my everything

My gentle Ray of light
