Aleja

Aleja, when the shadows try to fall

You build a sanctuary through it all

You pour your caring heart into the fray

And share your tender spirit day by day

You’ve weathered every storm that came around

Resilient with your feet upon the ground

Lift up your eyes, the dawn is breaking through

Aleja, God has not forsaken you

His hands are holding every tear you weep

His promises are faithful and they’re deep

You are His child, you're held within His grace

And He is right here in this holy place

The garden of your soul is taking time

But every single branch is meant to climb

You give so much to everyone you meet

And lay your loving kindness at His feet

Don't rush the harvest, let the Spirit move

There's nothing left for you to try and prove

Lift up your eyes, the dawn is breaking through

Aleja, God has not forsaken you

His hands are holding every tear you weep

His promises are faithful and they’re deep

You are His child, you're held within His grace

And He is right here in this holy place

You are still growing, reaching for the sky

Under the shelter of the Lord Most High

The seasons change, but His great love remains

He shatters every doubt and breaks the chains

So breathe it in, the mercy in the air

You are surrounded by a Father's care

Lift up your eyes, the dawn is breaking through

Aleja, God has not forsaken you

His hands are holding every tear you weep

His promises are faithful and they’re deep

You are His child, you're held within His grace

Still growing in the beauty of His face
