Michael

The day slows down, the room is still

With nowhere to be and some time to kill

Just sitting together, talking with you

Is my favorite thing that we ever do

Michael, you listen with an open soul

You make this heavy world feel whole

Thank you for loving God before you loved me

It's the reason we are who we're meant to be

You're kind and you're passionate, a trustworthy man

Following the steps of a greater plan

It's the most beautiful part

That He was the first to have your heart

I know I can trust you when the shadows fall

Because you answer to a higher call

There is a fire, a passion in your eyes

That lifts me up and helps me rise

You lead with kindness in all you do

I see His grace reflecting in you

Thank you for loving God before you loved me

It's the reason we are who we're meant to be

You're kind and you're passionate, a trustworthy man

Following the steps of a greater plan

It's the most beautiful part

That He was the first to have your heart

Just sitting here talking, as the evening ends

You are my husband, and my closest friend

I never have to wonder, I never have to guess

Your faith is the reason our marriage is blessed

So thank you for loving God before you loved me

It's the reason we are who we're meant to be

You're kind and you're passionate, a trustworthy man

Following the steps of a greater plan

Michael, it's the most beautiful part

That He was the first to have your heart
