Devin

I remember the nights, the house was so chill

Rocking you gently, time standing still

A little boy resting right here in my arms

Keeping you safe from the world and its harms

I'd whisper the melody, swaying so slow

"You are my sunshine," I needed you to know

Now I look at the man that you're growing to be

Devin, you mean the whole world to me

Always put God first, let Him guide your way

Never forget He loves you, each and every day

You've got a huge heart, so caring and true

I need you to always love yourself, too

You deserve the best that this life can attract

Momma loves you, Devin, to the moon and back

I think of the magic we found on that trip

Disney World memories I'll never let slip

Standing together, our eyes shining bright

Watching the fireworks paint up the night

The floats in the parade rolling down the street

Seeing your smile made the moment complete

Even back then, I could already see

The respectful young man you were destined to be

Always put God first, let Him guide your way

Never forget He loves you, each and every day

You've got a huge heart, so caring and true

I need you to always love yourself, too

You deserve the best that this life can attract

Momma loves you, Devin, to the moon and back

When the road gets heavy and the mountain is tall

Remember the grace that will catch you if you fall

You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength

He will walk beside you, no matter the length

You care for others, right from the start

Never lose the beauty of your loving heart

So keep your head up and keep standing tall

You're kindhearted, Devin, a blessing to all

Deserving of love, deserving of peace

Praying your joy will only increase

Whatever you do, wherever you go

There's one thing your mom needs you to know

Always put God first, let Him guide your way

Never forget He loves you, each and every day

You've got a huge heart, so caring and true

I need you to always love yourself, too

You deserve the best that this life can attract

Momma loves you, Devin, to the moon and back
