Jasmine

I still remember the tears that I cried

The day you were born, all the joy and the pride

Jasmine, you grew with a heart open wide

A passionate spirit you never could hide

You feel every moment, you love without end

A good-hearted soul on whom we depend

In this unperfect world, you are doing your best

Carrying so much inside of your chest

As a daughter and sister, a mother and wife

You pour unconditional love in this life

You don't have to be flawless for me to see

How hard you are trying, how loved you will be

You stand like a shield for the people you hold

Fiercely protective, courageous and bold

Always ensuring your family is safe

Filling our lives with your warmth and your grace

I want you to know that your value is clear

I see all the effort you give to us here

In this unperfect world, you are doing your best

Carrying so much inside of your chest

As a daughter and sister, a mother and wife

You pour unconditional love in this life

You don't have to be flawless for me to see

How hard you are trying, how loved you will be

Take a breath, let it out, you can lay down your guard

I know that you care and I know that it's hard

You give us your all, every step of the way

And I appreciate you more every single day

In this unperfect world, you are doing your best

Carrying so much inside of your chest

As a daughter and sister, a mother and wife

You pour unconditional love in this life

You don't have to be flawless for me to see

Jasmine, you're everything you need to be
