Henry

Looking back at where we started

Just two kids with open hearts

Sitting on those high school bleachers

Before we knew the hardest parts

I see the hand of God was moving

Drawing my soul close to you

Henry, you were just a boy then

But Heaven knew what it would do

I thank the Lord for who you are

My faithful husband, my guiding star

With every breath, I lift a prayer

For the tender love we get to share

I love you, Henry, plain and true

I praise the God who gave me you

The years have turned the pages for us

From teenage dreams to sacred vows

Through every season He has led us

To the grace we're standing in right now

You hold my hand when shadows gather

You point my eyes back to the light

Walking by your side forever

Is a blessing in the Father's sight

I thank the Lord for who you are

My faithful husband, my guiding star

With every breath, I lift a prayer

For the tender love we get to share

I love you, Henry, plain and true

I praise the God who gave me you

More than just a high school memory

This is a covenant we hold

Woven by the Holy Spirit

A beautiful story being told

I love the man that you've become

Under the shadow of the Son

I thank the Lord for who you are

My faithful husband, my guiding star

With every breath, I lift a prayer

For the tender love we get to share

I love you, Henry, plain and true

I praise the God who gave me you

Yes, I praise the God who gave me you
