James

I still smile thinking back to that water park

And the gentle way you always show your heart

Chaperoning the teens trip to Whitewater that day

I watched you encourage them along the way

Patient and kind, standing right by my side

James, you're the one in whom I confide

You're a strong, hardworking man

Building our lives on the Master's plan

You defend our family when the shadows fall

Yet you're tender and patient through it all

A believer in Jesus, led by His light

Walking beside me in faith and in might

Every morning you wake and you carry the weight

Working so hard to keep our path straight

But you never lose the soft tone in your voice

Lifting me up, making kindness your choice

Your faith in Christ is the rock where we stand

A beautiful heart and a steady hand

When the world pushes in, you are our shield

With a spirit surrendered, to heaven you yield

You fight for this home on your knees in prayer

I thank the Lord for the love that we share

Cause you're a strong, hardworking man

Building our lives on the Master's plan

You defend our family when the shadows fall

Yet you're tender and patient through it all

A believer in Jesus, led by His light

James, I will love you the rest of my life
