Shawn

I walked into the office, just another day

You were the one in charge, leading the way

I called you my boss, keeping it in line

But the Lord was unfolding a grander design

From the workplace to the altar, a beautiful shift

I look at you, Shawn, and I see Heaven's gift

Thank You, God, for the love of my life

I’m so incredibly blessed as his wife

He’s charming and funny, he’s steady and wise

I see Your light shining right there in his eyes

Through every season, whatever we do

My favorite moments are talking Jesus with you

You always know exactly how to make me smile

Your humor and joy make the journey worthwhile

But beneath all the charm that won over my heart

Is a spirit of wisdom that sets you apart

We built our foundation on holy ground

In the grace of the Savior, look at what we found

Thank You, God, for the love of my life

I’m so incredibly blessed as his wife

He’s charming and funny, he’s steady and wise

I see Your light shining right there in his eyes

Through every season, whatever we do

My favorite moments are talking Jesus with you

We lift up our hands and we lift up our home

Knowing with Christ we are never alone

His Word is our anchor, His Spirit our guide

With my wonderful husband right here by my side

We keep Him the center, the truth, and the way

Praising His name at the end of the day

Thank You, God, for the love of my life

I’m so incredibly blessed as his wife

He’s charming and funny, he’s steady and wise

I see Your light shining right there in his eyes

Through every season, whatever we do

My favorite moments are talking Jesus with you

Forever and always, talking Jesus with you
