Don

A faithful prayer on a Christian site

Trusting the Lord to write our story right

You bought a ticket and crossed the sea

Flew to the Philippines to marry me

You packed up your bags with a heart so true

And showed me what a patient man can do

Oh Don, I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine

God gave me you, our lives intertwined

I'll celebrate us, the days we have won

Now and for eternity, my sweet Don

A honeymoon blessing, a sweet baby came

A precious new life to carry your name

Every year we go camping, sleeping out 'neath the pines

Or just drive around with your hand holding mine

Nowhere to go, no rush and no plan

Just riding along with my beautiful man

Oh Don, I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine

God gave me you, our lives intertwined

I'll celebrate us, the days we have won

Now and for eternity, my sweet Don

You always encourage me when I am weak

With a funny remark and the kind words you speak

I thank God above for the life that we share

For the father you are, and your loving care

Oh Don, I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine

God gave me you, our lives intertwined

I will treasure this life, the days we have won

Now and for eternity, my sweet Don

Yeah, now and for eternity, my sweet Don
