Gunner

You walk through my front door and pull me in tight

A hug to say hello, making everything right

And when it's time to go, you hold me once more

I cherish those moments right there by the door

Gunner Jude, I watch you and smile

I've loved every step of your beautiful mile

I love you big, big, and high, high up the sky

More than a simple phrase could imply

I look at the genuine man you've become

And I am so proud to call you my son

Yeah, I love you big, big, and high, high up the sky

You've got a patient heart and an empathetic soul

Spontaneous moments that make this life whole

You're the best bubbie, so steady and true

There is a kindness that radiates through

Never afraid to show how much you care

Whenever I need you, I know you are there

I love you big, big, and high, high up the sky

More than a simple phrase could imply

I look at the genuine man you've become

And I am so proud to call you my son

Yeah, I love you big, big, and high, high up the sky

Now I watch you with your own, such a beautiful sight

The great daddy you are, guiding their light

And I know in my heart, looking down from above

Your Poppa is beaming with pride and with love

I love you big, big, and high, high up the sky

More than a simple phrase could imply

Gunner Jude, you're the genuine man you've become

And I am so proud to call you my son

Yeah, I love you big, big, and high, high up the sky

Forever and always, high up the sky
