Misty

I look in the mirror and finally see the truth,

I've spent a lifetime, but I'm learning to care for you.

Shedding the weight of those heavier years,

Finding a smile that can dry up the tears.

Misty, you've been patient through it all,

Learning to stand up every time you fall.

Oh, Misty, you are beautiful right down to your soul,

You've got a fun and loving heart that makes the pieces whole.

Always outgoing, with a light that's shining through,

You are amazing, and worth loving too.

I'm so proud to be the woman looking back at you.

Walking the miles and changing the view,

Getting so healthy and feeling brand new.

You always cared so much for everyone else,

Now you're pouring that kindness right into yourself.

Every pound lost was a step toward the sun,

Showing the world that your journey's just begun.

Oh, Misty, you are beautiful right down to your soul,

You've got a fun and loving heart that makes the pieces whole.

Always outgoing, with a light that's shining through,

You are amazing, and worth loving too.

I'm so proud to be the woman looking back at you.

It's a hard road to travel, choosing to be kind,

To the reflection you used to leave behind.

But you found your joy, and you found your grace,

Now I see the real me shining in your face.

Oh, Misty, you are beautiful right down to your soul,

You've got a fun and loving heart that makes the pieces whole.

Always outgoing, with a light that's shining through,

You are amazing, and worth loving too.

Yes, Misty, you are amazing, and worth loving too.
