Nora

I remember when we first met, right from the start

The greatest joy that ever walked into my heart

My big sister, my protector, my listening ear

Whenever I need you, you’re already here

I thank God for you every single day

For the warmth that you bring and the way that you pray

Oh Nora, our prayer warrior, our built-in nurse

Healing our spirits and putting family first

You wrap us up in the best hugs we’ve ever known

A foundation of grace that you’ve always shown

Forever ours, through the joy and the strife

Nora, we love you to life.

You raised Chad, Cicily, and Chana so right

Taught them to love God and walk in His light

Now Ashton is smiling, and great-gran Naveah too

Generations of blessings pouring out from you

Serving the church with a diligent heart

Always willing to help, always doing your part

Oh Nora, our prayer warrior, our built-in nurse

Healing our spirits and putting family first

You wrap us up in the best hugs we’ve ever known

A foundation of grace that you’ve always shown

Forever ours, through the joy and the strife

Nora, we love you to life.

Take me back to the barbecues at Ronnie’s place

Every holiday gathering, the smile on your face

Celebrating Mom's birthdays, singing our songs

Wrapped in your love is where we belong

You know how to care, you know how to give

Showing us all what it means just to live

From Moma Johnson, Clarence, and sweet Darlene

To Diddle and Linda, the love is serene

Kim, Leslie, and Fud, Pastor, Sandy Mae too

Every single one of us is thankful for you

You are forever ours, our beautiful friend

A bond of pure family that never will end

Oh Nora, our prayer warrior, our built-in nurse

Healing our spirits and putting family first

You wrap us up in the best hugs we’ve ever known

A foundation of grace that you’ve always shown

Forever ours, through the joy and the strife

Nora, we love you to life and more

Yeah, we love you to life.
