Steven

I held you close the day you were born

A brand new life, so perfectly formed

But looking deep into your eyes

I saw a soul I recognized

It felt like I had always known you

Long before my arms could hold you

A miracle from Heaven above

My sweet boy, my endless love

Steven, you're the most precious of gifts

A beautiful light that constantly lifts

I thank the Lord every single day

For the chance to be your mother, I pray

Hear these words from the depths of my heart

A truth to hold when we are apart

You are seen, you are loved, you are wanted

You've been a joyful addition to life

Cutting right through the worry and strife

With your comedic ways and your smile

You bring us laughter mile after mile

You give so much, you're supportive and kind

A stronger spirit is hard to find

You carry grace in all that you do

I am so proud of the man inside you

Steven, you're the most precious of gifts

A beautiful light that constantly lifts

I thank the Lord every single day

For the chance to be your mother, I pray

Hear these words from the depths of my heart

A truth to hold when we are apart

You are seen, you are loved, you are wanted

I lift my hands in gratitude

For the love of God wrapped up in you

I love you, Steven, more than words can say

You are a blessing in every way

You are a blessing in every way

Steven, you're the most precious of gifts

A beautiful light that constantly lifts

I thank the Lord every single day

For the chance to be your mother, I pray

Hear these words from the depths of my heart

A truth to hold when we are apart

You are seen, you are loved, you are wanted

Yes, you are seen, you are loved, you are wanted
