Chad

My second born, you are my whole world

Living down the coast as the years have unfurled

Pointing out the landmarks passing us by

Laughing so hard that we both start to cry

Ready for adventure, the big and the small

With your beautiful smile, you bring light to it all

With the biggest heart, so protective and true

I'll always be the biggest supporter of you

You're genuine, gentle, a true honest soul

Keeping me steady and making me whole

I know I am safe when the heavy winds blow

'Cause you always have my back, and I want you to know

You're so deeply talented, grounded, and bright

You carry a spirit that fills up the night

We talk about the future, the dreams that we share

Planning out the farm and the life waiting there

A quiet little place where the wild grass grows

Reflecting the peace that your gentle heart knows

With the biggest heart, so protective and true

I'll always be the biggest supporter of you

You're genuine, gentle, a true honest soul

Keeping me steady and making me whole

I know I am safe when the heavy winds blow

'Cause you always have my back, and I want you to know

I'll never forget when the shadows were cast

When everyone else faded into the past

You stood by my side when nobody else would

You held up my world like I hoped that you could

When no one had my back, you were holding the line

I'm so proud to say that a son like you is mine

With the biggest heart, so protective and true

I'll always be the biggest supporter of you

You're genuine, gentle, a true honest soul

Keeping me steady and making me whole

I know I am safe when the heavy winds blow

'Cause you always have my back, and I want you to know

Yeah, Chad, you always have my back, and I love you so
