When I gave my heart to the man that I love

I didn't know the gifts waiting up from above

Through the vows and the rings, when two families combine

Jesus drew a circle and He brought you in mine

I married your son, and my new life began

But God had a beautiful part of the plan

You're an amazing father, a light in the dark

Guiding my spirit and guarding my heart

Whenever we sit and just share in the time

You speak of the Lord and bring peace to my mind

I count every prayer, I count every lesson

Dad, in my life, you're such a huge blessing

We sit and we talk as the hours go past

You give me the wisdom you know is gonna last

When my faith feels heavy or my spirit is low

You point me to Jesus and help my soul grow

You make me feel special in all that you do

I see the Creator's own kindness in you
