Miguel

Miguel, you always take me by surprise

With that familiar spark in your eyes

You tell a joke and you make me smile

You make the longest days feel worthwhile

It is the gentle way you pull me near

That washes away every quiet fear

You are protective, loving, and kind

A safer haven I could never find

With a caring heart and a spirit so firm

You anchor my soul when the seasons turn

We stand together, in one accord

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

I watch the way you look out for us

Building our lives on a steady trust

You stand your ground, so strong and true

But keep a soft place for me and you

You are the shelter when the wind blows cold

The beautiful hand that I get to hold

You are protective, loving, and kind

A safer haven I could never find

With a caring heart and a spirit so firm

You anchor my soul when the seasons turn

We stand together, in one accord

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

Through all the laughter and the time we share

I see His grace in the way you care

Hand in hand, we walk this road

Sharing the joy and sharing the load

You lead us well with a guiding light

And make every tomorrow look so bright

You are protective, loving, and kind

A safer haven I could never find

With a caring heart and a spirit so firm

You anchor my soul when the seasons turn

We stand together, in one accord

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

Yes, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord
