Julien

I wasn't looking for a rescue then

I only knew the heavy weight of pain

But then you walked into my broken world

And washed away the shadows and the rain

You picked me up right off the shattered floor

You glued the pieces back and held me close

With every patient word and loving step

You gave me back the hope I needed most

Oh, Julien, look what the Lord has done

He works all good things for the ones who pray

I found the best of me inside His grace

With you beside me walking in His way

We're on this path with Jesus leading us

A testament to what His hands have made

Thank God for every moment we have found

In the shelter of the promises He laid

You are the quiet strength when winds are high

Resilient and loyal, fiercely true

And even when the road is getting steep

I find a reason just to laugh with you

I trust you with the deepest parts of me

A kind and steady rock I'm leaning on

We're bringing our whole family to Him

From the early morning light until the dawn

I stood with you right by the water's edge

The greatest honor that my heart has known

To be the one to baptize you, my love

And watch the seeds of heaven being sown

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

A masterpiece of mercy and of grace

I cannot wait to see what God has planned

As we run together in this holy race

Oh, Julien, look what the Lord has done

He works all good things for the ones who pray

I found the best of me inside His grace

With you beside me walking in His way

We're on this path with Jesus leading us

A testament to what His hands have made

Thank God for every moment we have found

In the shelter of the promises He laid
