Seventy Years of Hallelujah
Written for Marilyn · FreeCustomSong OriginalLooking back on seventy years of grace
With the favor of God shining down on my face
He taught me to be loving, caring, and kind
With a joyful spirit and a faithful mind
I am standing here today as a witness of His power
And the way He watched over me in every single hour
ChorusOh, God is able to keep you
No matter what happens, no matter the test
In the shelter of His glory, you will find your rest
Hallelujah, He is faithful, Hallelujah, He is true
The God of my journey will carry you through
Verse 2I remember the shadows of August, seventy-six
When the trials were heavy and the sorrow was thick
It was a season of testing, a valley so deep
But I learned of the promises my Savior would keep
His unending love came and rescued my soul
He brought me right through it and made my heart whole
ChorusOh, God is able to keep you
No matter what happens, no matter the test
In the shelter of His glory, you will find your rest
Hallelujah, He is faithful, Hallelujah, He is true
The God of my journey will carry you through
BridgeNow I lift up my hands, I am joyful and free
Because twenty-twenty-six is a new dawn for me
It is a brand new beginning, a fresh morning sun
Hallelujah for the miracles the Lord has just begun!
Final ChorusOh, God is able to keep you
No matter what happens, no matter the test
In the shelter of His glory, you will find your rest
Hallelujah, He is faithful, Hallelujah, He is true
The God of my journey will carry you through
Yes, He kept Marilyn's heart, and He will keep you too!
