Brett

I watched you grow from a baby to the man you are today

Sitting in the bleachers, cheering every single play

Through the dust of the diamond and the sweat of the practice field

I saw a quiet kind of strength, a spirit that wouldn't yield

Game by game, year by year, watching you take your stand

I've always been your biggest fan, so proud of this strong man

I know life wasn't always an easy ride

But my love for you is a fire that will never die

Your goals and your ambitions amaze me every day

I wish the very best in life to always come your way

Through the highs and the lows, when the long day is done

Brett, I am so grateful and proud to call you my son

You carry that same hustle into everything you do

When people are in trouble, they know they can count on you

Even when you're burned out and running on empty miles

You show up to lend a hand and carry them for a while

You push through the tired, giving all you've got to give

That's just the steady, honorable way you choose to live

I know life wasn't always an easy ride

But my love for you is a fire that will never die

Your goals and your ambitions amaze me every day

I wish the very best in life to always come your way

Through the highs and the lows, when the long day is done

Brett, I am so grateful and proud to call you my son

I hope every dream you're chasing finally comes true

I'm thanking my lucky stars for everything you do

If you ever need a shoulder, or a place to rest your mind

Always know I'm here for you, I won't be hard to find

I know life wasn't always an easy ride

But my love for you is a fire that will never die

Your goals and your ambitions amaze me every day

I wish the very best in life to always come your way

Please never forget it, when the long day is done

Brett, I am so grateful and proud to call you my son
